Volunteer on the Wilde Lake RAC in FY27

Wilde Lake’s Resident Architectural Committee (RAC) periodically needs new members. We are currently seeking volunteers for the FY27 term, which runs from May 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027. If you are interested in serving in a vibrant group that truly sees it all throughout our Village, please read on!

What does the RAC do?

The RAC is an advisory body which reviews Wilde Lake property owners’ applications for exterior alteration [PDF] to ensure proposed projects comply with our Covenants [PDF] and Architectural Guidelines. Architectural control is a foundational tenet of Columbia, and we look for a diverse group of volunteers each year to perform this important work in our community.

RAC members are…

  • 18 or older.
  • Wilde Lake residents.
  • Interested in serving a one-year term that starts May 1, 2026.
  • Thoroughly acquainted with our Covenants and Guidelines.
  • Able to review applications in advance of each meeting, and to make site visits around the village as needed.
  • Available to Zoom into most RAC meetings (second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7PM, usually an hour or less).
  • Sometimes known as RACscals or RACateers!

We recommend that prospective members attend at least one regularly scheduled RAC meeting prior to joining. For the schedule of upcoming meetings and to get an idea of what kind of improvements the RAC reviews, please visit the RAC Agenda page.
