Who can vote in Wilde Lake's village elections?
Members in good standing as of March 1, 2026 shall be eligible to vote. Members are defined in the bylaws as owners or tenants. Where property is jointly owned, only one vote is permitted. Where property is rented, one owner vote and one tenant vote are permitted. (Reference: Articles of Incorporation, sixth article of incorporation, paragraph A & B; Covenants 3.02 A & B)
When is Election Day 2026?
Election Day is Saturday, April 25, 2026. The polls will be open at Slayton House (10400 Cross Fox Lane) in the Wilde Lake Village Center from 9AM-2PM. You must show a valid driver’s license or other photo ID or a current utility bill showing your address to vote.
What if I can’t vote in person?
Members may vote with an absentee ballot or online:
- Absentee Ballot: Complete the absentee ballot you have received in the mail. Please note that absentee ballots are valid only if completely filled out, including all identifying information on the envelope. This information will be kept separately from the actual ballot to ensure privacy.
- Completed absentee ballots may be returned by USPS mail using the postage paid envelope.
- Absentee ballots are due Friday, April 24, 2026 by 4PM.
- The absentee ballot you receive in the mail cannot be used on Election Day.
- Online Voting: Please refer to the election mailing for online voting details. Online voting also closes on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 4PM.
I’m a renter. Are the steps different for me?
Renters need to provide a copy of their current lease showing their address to cast a vote in Village elections. The lease may be emailed to [email protected] or hand carried to Slayton House (10400 Cross Fox Lane) by 4PM on Friday, April 24, 2026.
Alternatively, renters who plan to cast their ballots in person may bring a copy of their current lease to the polling place on Election Day.
Who are the candidates?
We’re glad you asked! Visit our Meet the Candidates page for candidates’ statements and introductory videos. (Spoiler alert: they are all your neighbors, and all of them are asking to volunteer their time for the benefit of our community.)
What does the Village Board do?
The Wilde Lake Village Board (WLVB) provides strategic and fiscal oversight of Wilde Lake Community Association activities, supervises the Village Manager, and works with residents to address their needs and concerns.
Join the board at one of its monthly meetings to get a firsthand look at what they do! Meetings are generally the first Monday of each month at 6:30PM, and you may attend in person at Slayton House or virtually via Zoom.
