Artists’ Gallery Member Exhibit at the Bernice Kish Gallery
The Bernice Kish Gallery at Slayton House, 10400 Cross Fox Lane, Columbia, Maryland, is pleased to announce a group exhibit in the galleries for February and March 2019. An exhibit by the Artists’ Gallery in historic Ellicott City will be featured in the Lobby and Bill White Room Galleries. This exhibit will run from February 12 – March 23, 2019.
In 1994 the New Arts Alliance, a Columbia, Md. based art organization sought to established a venue to showcase the artwork of local artists. This search resulted in the Artists’ Gallery of Columbia and for 20 years it was located in the American City Building, Columbia. The Gallery relocated in August 2016 to the Taylor’s Collective, 8197 Main Street, Ellicott City, Maryland. A formal opening was delayed until November because of the devastating flood that destroyed so of much of the historic Main Street. A member-owned gallery, the Artists’ Gallery represents 25 local artists working in various mediums that include oil, watercolor, collage, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, traditional photography, hand-colored photography, digital painting, stained glass, wood-cut prints, mixed media, ceramics, wooden objects and jewelry.
This exhibit will represent a variety of work by most of the gallery’s members. It will including: pastel, acrylic, oils, watercolor, graphite, mixed media, photography and digital painting.
Participating artists for the Member Show include: Cheryl Lucente, Joan Forester, Joan Bevelaqua, Jing-Jy Chen, Pauline Rakis, Marian Gliese, Joyce Bell, Ellen Corddry, Terry Pellmar, Bonita Glaser, Deborah Hoeper, Patricia Roberie, Sadaf Mukhtar, Diane Dunn, John Stier, Dave McCann, Jerry Weinstein, Leah Lewman Jane Knighton and Julie Gross.
