    Linda Stevens has been practicing yoga for over 15 years.  She received her YTT200 certification in 2011.  Linda is also a certified Reiki and reflexology practitioner.  All levels are welcome.   • Body Back

    Mondays 7:30pm - | Slayton House

    Facilitated by FIT4MOM Howard County, Body Back is an all-inclusive fitness program for moms at any stage of motherhood.  We combine twice-weekly small group classes of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) with at-home workouts, nutrition guidance (no supplements or diet fads), food journals, online coaching, and “before and after” fitness assessment/measurements.  This class is for moms at any stage of motherhood however it does not involve a stroller or children.  To register or for more information visit  www.howardcounty.fit4mom.com

    Facilitated by FIT4MOM Howard County, FIT4BABY is a prenatal full body workout.  FIT4BABY® is designed specifically for moms-to-be. All exercises are carefully selected to prepare your body for the many changes you will experience during pregnancy. You can begin FIT4BABY at any point during pregnancy as the workouts are lead by nationally certified fitness professionals and follow ACOG  (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist) guidelines for prenatal fitness.  The 60-minute workout includes cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility training and ends with a relaxing meditation; everything you need during this precious time!  To register or for more information visit our website at www.howardcounty.fit4mom.com

  • Belly Dancing with Flissy

    Learn the basics of belly dance movement and technique in a supportive environment. This six-week series focuses on hip movements and shimmies (the quintessential Bellydance movement!) Each class will include a fun, upbeat warm up, break down of dance steps, technique practice, and a stretchy, relaxing cool-down.

    The technique and movements in this class are based in Datura Style belly dance, a fusion belly Dance style founded by world-renowned dancer, Rachel, Brice.

  • DeVe’s Christian School of Performing Arts

    DeVe’s Christian School of Performing Arts is a Christian Performing Arts school under the direction of sisters Natalie and Kristy Williams.  This performing arts school has been in operation for 28 years and counting.  They offer instructional classes from the beginner to the advanced in Classical Ballet, Modern, Tap, and Hip Hop for students ages 3-17 years of age.  Classes are offered Tuesdays and Saturdays.  Classes start September 12th.  Please call for class schedules and cost.  You may contact Natalie Williams at 443/714-4081

  • The Dance Dimension

    The Dance Dimension is a resident modern dance company at Slayton House directed by Marilyn Byers.  Marilyn has been teaching dance at Slayton House since 1975 and is committed to a strong creative vision, excellence, and artistic integrity.  She is a State Certified Dance Educator and Kennedy Center Teaching Fellow.  All classes meet in the Dance Studio and run from September through June.  Levels of instruction include The Company (ages 14 and up), Apprentice (ages 7-13), and Mini-Company (ages 5-7).  New members are welcome!
